Lord Ganesha, which is also famous for different names like Ganapati, and Vinayak. He was the son of Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati. Lord Ganesha believed in helping remove all obstacles and hurdles in one’s life both material and spirituals. He is worshipped as the God of good fortunes, new ventures and wisdom. Ganesh Chalisa is a religious hymn devoted to Lord Ganesha.  

 Chalisa which means Forty verses is written in Sanskrit language and addresses the Lord by many name and recalls his great deeds. The hymn was completed by Sundaradasa in the Vikrama  Samvat which demonstrates his affection for the God. The Chalisa reciting mostly  Hindu prayers. People believed that those who recite this Chalisa with sincerity and devotion is granted wealth and knowledge and prosperity in no time.  

Knowing about reciting the Bhagwan Ganesh Chalisa!  

The word Ganesh Chalisa, Ganesh means Lord Ganapati Or Vighnharta and Chalisa means forty verses , which is used worship the Hindu elephant God , Lord Ganesha. Shri Ganesha is said to be the first puja in Hindu religion. The worship of Vighnharta is a tradition to performed at the beginning of every auspicious work, that’s why all the work should done happily. It has been said that happiness and merit in the house comes from worshiping Lord Ganesha every day.  

Whereas he is considered as the deity of the Inhenke family. Therefore all the problem of the family are removed from their worship. Shri Ganesh is also as donor of Ridhi Siddhi by the grace of his devotees and get the benefits , the auspicious time comes.  

The forty verses of the Ganesha Chalisa are chanted by group of devotees. This hymn can be chanted repeatly  as a prayer on daily basis or chanted before starting any new work or venture. It is recited 108 times in proper way , then it can help a devotees to achieve peace, accomplishment, prosperity and spirituals enlightenment and social influence.  

If you light up ghee lamp in the home every evening and worship him to maintain peace and happiness in the home. This Chalisa is very powerful and it believed to be effective in solving problems in one’s life. Those people who wants to eliminate difficulties and obstacles and achieve success in whatever they undertaken should chant Ganesh Chalisa regularly. He is the giver of prosperity and good fortune .  

Advantage of power of reciting Ganesh Chalisa 

  • Contentment and Serenity Haven – Constant argument and tension may wreak havoc on a family harmony. Devotees turn to Ganesh Chalisa to fight this. Lord Ganesha is regarded as the bestower of pleasure and riches. Its regular recitation is thought to instill joy, prosperity and peace in the home.  
  • Victory over the opponent – Success is sometimes felt hampered by opponents or unfavorable influences. The Ganesh Chalisa is seen to be a strong tool for conquering these challenges. It considers as to grant success through difficult times. It helps to protect believers from the effects of hostility and negativity.
  • Resolving Material Conflict – Material problems might impair one’s peace of mind. Devotees seek blessings of Lord Ganesha to overcome such situations by chanting the Ganesh Chalisa. The grace of God is said to create harmony and understanding within the partnership. It assists couples in overcoming problems and maintaining a harmonious marital life.  
  • Improving Academic performance – Ganesh Chalisa may be quite beneficial to student. Students thoughts are concentrated and their learning capacity are heightened when they sing it on daily basis.  
  • Developing positive thoughts – Reciting the Ganesh Chalisa on regular basis not only welcome Lord Ganesha blessings , they also promote to mental health and emotional well being . It relives stress , sadness and pain by encouraging positivity.  
  • Processing wealth and abundance – Lord Ganesha bestow the blessings of wealth and prosperity . He is known as Ridhi Siddhi. Reciting the Ganesh Chalisa invokes these benefits.  

Importance and significance of Lord Ganesh Chalisa

As people know that Lord Ganesha is also called as Vighnharta, he is the one who removes obstacles and allow endeavors to develop blissfully. His name itself represents his role in ensuring that problems are avoided. Devotees continues chanting the Chalisa. It is the poem expressing love and devotion to this compassionate god to harness these characteristics.  

The significance of Ganesh Chalisa, it is extremely important to Hindus all around the world, it thought that reciting the Chalisa with complete devotion and invite Lord Ganesh for blessings.

॥ दोहा ॥

जय गणपति सदगुणसदन, कविवर बदन कृपाल।

विघ्न हरण मंगल करण, जय जय गिरिजालाल॥

जय जय जय गणपति गणराजू।

मंगल भरण करण शुभ काजू ॥

 

॥ चौपाई ॥

जै गजबदन सदन सुखदाता। विश्व विनायक बुद्घि विधाता॥

वक्र तुण्ड शुचि शुण्ड सुहावन। तिलक त्रिपुण्ड भाल मन भावन॥

राजत मणि मुक्तन उर माला। स्वर्ण मुकुट शिर नयन विशाला॥

पुस्तक पाणि कुठार त्रिशूलं । मोदक भोग सुगन्धित फूलं ॥1॥

 

सुन्दर पीताम्बर तन साजित । चरण पादुका मुनि मन राजित ॥

धनि शिवसुवन षडानन भ्राता । गौरी ललन विश्वविख्याता ॥

ऋद्घिसिद्घि तव चंवर सुधारे । मूषक वाहन सोहत द्घारे ॥

कहौ जन्म शुभकथा तुम्हारी । अति शुचि पावन मंगलकारी ॥2॥

 

एक समय गिरिराज कुमारी । पुत्र हेतु तप कीन्हो भारी ॥

भयो यज्ञ जब पूर्ण अनूपा । तब पहुंच्यो तुम धरि द्घिज रुपा ॥

अतिथि जानि कै गौरि सुखारी । बहुविधि सेवा करी तुम्हारी ॥

अति प्रसन्न है तुम वर दीन्हा । मातु पुत्र हित जो तप कीन्हा ॥3॥

 

मिलहि पुत्र तुहि, बुद्घि विशाला । बिना गर्भ धारण, यहि काला ॥

गणनायक, गुण ज्ञान निधाना । पूजित प्रथम, रुप भगवाना ॥

अस कहि अन्तर्धान रुप है । पलना पर बालक स्वरुप है ॥

बनि शिशु, रुदन जबहिं तुम ठाना। लखि मुख सुख नहिं गौरि समाना ॥4॥

 

सकल मगन, सुखमंगल गावहिं । नभ ते सुरन, सुमन वर्षावहिं ॥

शम्भु, उमा, बहु दान लुटावहिं । सुर मुनिजन, सुत देखन आवहिं ॥

लखि अति आनन्द मंगल साजा । देखन भी आये शनि राजा ॥

निज अवगुण गुनि शनि मन माहीं । बालक, देखन चाहत नाहीं ॥5॥

 

गिरिजा कछु मन भेद बढ़ायो । उत्सव मोर, न शनि तुहि भायो ॥

कहन लगे शनि, मन सकुचाई । का करिहौ, शिशु मोहि दिखाई ॥

नहिं विश्वास, उमा उर भयऊ । शनि सों बालक देखन कहाऊ ॥

पडतहिं, शनि दृग कोण प्रकाशा । बोलक सिर उड़ि गयो अकाशा ॥6॥

 

गिरिजा गिरीं विकल है धरणी । सो दुख दशा गयो नहीं वरणी ॥

हाहाकार मच्यो कैलाशा । शनि कीन्हो लखि सुत को नाशा ॥

तुरत गरुड़ चढ़ि विष्णु सिधायो । काटि चक्र सो गज शिर लाये ॥

बालक के धड़ ऊपर धारयो । प्राण, मन्त्र पढ़ि शंकर डारयो ॥7॥

 

नाम गणेश शम्भु तब कीन्हे । प्रथम पूज्य बुद्घि निधि, वन दीन्हे ॥

बुद्घ परीक्षा जब शिव कीन्हा । पृथ्वी कर प्रदक्षिणा लीन्हा ॥

चले षडानन, भरमि भुलाई। रचे बैठ तुम बुद्घि उपाई ॥

चरण मातुपितु के धर लीन्हें । तिनके सात प्रदक्षिण कीन्हें ॥8॥

 

तुम्हरी महिमा बुद्घि बड़ाई । शेष सहसमुख सके न गाई ॥

मैं मतिहीन मलीन दुखारी । करहुं कौन विधि विनय तुम्हारी ॥

भजत रामसुन्दर प्रभुदासा । जग प्रयाग, ककरा, दर्वासा ॥

अब प्रभु दया दीन पर कीजै । अपनी भक्ति शक्ति कछु दीजै ॥9॥

श्री गणेश यह चालीसा, पाठ करै कर ध्यान।

नित नव मंगल गृह बसै, लहे जगत सन्मान॥

सम्बन्ध अपने सहस्त्र दश, ऋषि पंचमी दिनेश।

पूरण चालीसा भयो, मंगल मूर्ति गणेश ॥

 

Benefits of reciting Ganesh Chalisa!

According to Hindu religion , Lord Ganesha is believed to be the first to be worshipped . He is considered to be remover of all the obstacles and hence offered prayer before starting new task to achieve success in it.  

Ganesh Chalisa is known as to remove all the problems in a family. Lord Ganesha is the giver of wealth and prosperity and worshipping him with devotional brings bliss and good fortune. It is advisable to chant or listen to the Ganesh Chalisa : 

  • For the accomplishment of fame, intelligence, and desire.  
  • To remove obstacles from all the areas of life.  
  • To regain lost wealth and fame.  
  • To defeat enemies.  
  • To accomplish of all sorts of desire  
  • To acquire children.  
  • To rise for long illness.  
  • To restart a closed business.  
  • To remove hurdles in business.
